what a snowstorm looks like in tennessee

Apparently when our world looks like this it means no school in Tennessee! We went to our bible study tonight and we were the only couple that showed up because no one wanted to go out in such treacherous weather! The other couple at our bible study said the grocery store was packed yesterday in anticipation :)
.
It snowed tonight from about 5 pm until maybe 7 or so and the streets are pretty much just slushy but according to the news it looks like every county in middle Tennessee has already closed schools. Time to go make a microscopic snowman!

Hilarious!! Southerners are wimps, huh?! :) Hope you are doing well. Looks like you had an awesome time with your family.

That is totally amusing. I wonder what they would do if it really was a snowstorm...probably think it was the Second Coming....

One time when we were going down there in Feb, we were about 30 minutes out, and there were cars all over in the ditches with people still in them. We called Alli to see if there was some kind of weather advisory, it was kinda raining, but with no cars around, we tried to make ourselves skid and couldn't. It was explained to us that people still go 70 and end up off the road, it was crazy to see. We were told to stay off the road if it snowed at all-not because it was snowing, but because of the way people drive in it! It is fun to hear all of these things that you are experiencing, that we were exposed to 8 years ago. They would think we are crazy for what we go still go to school in in the winter! Even I think it is crazy sometimes!!

it's funny that you said that thing about the rain and how people drive...the couple in our bible study said the exact same thing, they aren't afraid of rain 1 bit and it can be pouring and they're driving 75...i'm learning! love it so far :)

Really enjoyed your story about snow in Tenn. and the picture with
the footprints - they should visit
Iowa! Sounds like you're enjoying
your new home and I love your blog-you are a great writer and story
teller. Love you, Grandma
